Georgia Beratis was
born in Melbourne in 1965 and has lived in the City of Monash Chadstone
for the past 16 years. Her interest in art goes back to her childhood,
where she spent many hours drawing and sketching; however, she did not
begin painting until 1998. Over the past four years, her colourful pastels
have won many awards and have found their way into many collections. She
is a largely self-taught artist, but has, however, studied and received
guidance under the well-known and talented artist Joanne Seberry, and is
currently attending Lorraine Wigcraft's pastel class at Malvern Artist
Society, and Carol Boothman's class in Glen Waverley. She has been greatly
influenced by the French Impressionists, and admires the works of
Constable, William Chase, and Sorolla. Georgia's work can be viewed at
A.G.R.A. Galleries, 1 Inglesby Rd, Camberwell and at Malvern Artist
Society, Malvern. |
